According to Derrick Gunn of CSNPhilly.com, the Eagles and Donovan McNabb have agreed to terms on a 2 yr deal. The new deal is worth $24.5 over the next 2 years, a $5.3 million raise.
I know there are strong feelings about this - lets hear them.

I love it. Now all the Kolb talk can cease. I would love to hear his reaction to the extension.
ReplyDeleteIt is not an extension, they just re-did the 2 years he had left.
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling really good about this year. But I say that every year.
ReplyDelete13-3... mark it down.
Thanks for making me look like an asshole, Doc. You're a real dick.
ReplyDeleteIf the new deal makes #5 happy I'm all for it. Donovan is going to dominate this year - I'm with NardDog.
ReplyDeleteJust trying to clarify
ReplyDeleteI think it works for both sides. The birds have all kinds of extra cash in their pockets and they keep their QB happy for another run. I think McNabb backed off wanting an extension with the rumors that there may be no salary cap in the near future. They still need to get Westbrook healthy.
ReplyDeleteFuck Brian Austin Green, arrogant asshole. What the hell is he doing on this blog anyways!
ReplyDeleteLet's just say, I'd draft Westbrook #1 if it were my pick. He's been injured the past 2 years, and that's all fixed now.
Only thing RamRod worries about is that huge loss of veteran leadership on the D, plus Jim Johnson being out sucks balls.
Even after this, we have tons of money left. It was a smart move by the front office to keep #5 happy. Although he's one of the best QBs in the league (yeah, that's right), he's a little sensitive. He needs this security and he's deserved it.
ReplyDeleteWe need to be the favorite in the NFC now.
Let's trade Kolb for a 7th round pick and bag of footballs. He's a bum!
Money for nothing for McNabb. Injury prone, mentally fragile non-leader comes up short (again) in NFC Championship game, then demands more money or he'll sulk all year. What did he do to earn a raise? Whatever, not my money.
ReplyDeleteHow bout the Flyers bring in the black Hextall? Talented yet crazy. Actually, given his penchant for speeding and fancy cars, maybe he's the black Pelle Lindbergh. It's off to hell for me...
It's the Year of Randall! Oh--I mean McNabb! Clearly deal reflects market reality--certainly not his performance. Had a ton of potential early in his career--got distracted with not wanting to be a "black quarterback". Does not use his God Given talents--has become too predictable---so --in my mind--he is an "average" QB in today's NFL. With great draft, though, healthy average may be all that it takes this year.
