Does this mean the end of the Paul Bako era? The MorningCall is reporting that Brian Schneider passed a physical and will sign to be Carlos Ruiz backup next season. Schneider is one of the game's better defensive catchers and is a career .251 hitter.
Schneider recived interest from other teams but wanted to play for his hometown team as well as a contender. I think its a solid signing by Amaro.

Schneider is a great sign. He will be a nice back up catcher to Ruiz, and a solid bat off the bench. Good job Ruben
