The Morning After
Phils 9 Reds 6: Jayson Werth homered again, his fourth in as many games as the Phillies took 3 out of 4 for the Reds. Jamie Moyer got credit for the win but Chan Ho made sure they did by pitching 3 innings of no hit ball. Chase Utley hit a standing inside the park home run. The Phils became the second team in Major League History to have 4 guys with 20 or more homers by the all-star break. The Phils increased their lead over Washington to 20.5 games.
Dodgers 11 Mets 2: Mets stink
Rays 3 Jays 2: David Price outdueled Roy Halliday as the Tampa Bay Rays swept the Toronton Blue Jays. Roy Halliday was solid pitching 7 innings allowing 3 runs. David Price pitched 6 innings of 1 run ball and still only has 1 career outing of 7 innings.
NBA Trade: The Mavericks, Raptors, Grizzlies and Magic combined to swap 8 players, sending Shawn Marion to the Mavs, Jerry Stackhouse to the Grizzlies and Hedu Turkoglu to the Raptors. Kris Humphris, Nathan Jawai and a couple of dollars also went from Toronto to Dallas, Greg Buckner (F'you Larry Brown)went from Memphis to Dallas. Antoine Wright and Devean George (he's still around?) went from Dallas to Toronto. Memphis also received a second-round pick and cash from Toronto and cash from Dallas. The Mavericks and Raptors both also sent cash to Orlando. Got that?

The crazy thing about the Phils having four players hit 20 homers before the break is that the season started a week later than normal (due to WBC) so less games were played before the all-star break.
