Maclin finally Signs

According to the National Football Post, the Eagles and Jeremy Maclin have agreed to a 5 year contract.

Its about time. Rookies have a history of riding the pine under Reid and holding out doesn't help. I'll set the Over/Under on catches at 35. I hope that he contributes on Special Teams.

  1. THis is great news. Andy sounded pissed the other day discussing this situation. I'm pumped to see what he can do on the field.

  2. Do you think he will contribute? Jackson had the advantage of coming from a west coast offense and also Curtis being out last year. Maclin played in a spread, and will play behind Jackson, Curtis and probably Avant at the slot..I am afraid of Andy giving him a "red shirt" year, on offense...

  3. I think Maclin will contribute, but not to the same extent that Jax did.

At the reciever position (especially in Philly), you're going to have injuries and he's going to get a chance. I think he'll pick up the offense quickly and his athleticism will make him a weapon.

I wouldn't expect more than 450-500 yds recieving though.

Wasn't he a good return guy at Mizzou? He may start off taking Demps stop in the kick return game.

  5. I like this...From CBSsports

"Apparently rookie WR Jeremy Maclin is a quick learner. During an 11-on-11 drill he beat two defenders down the left sideline to catch an 80-yard TD from QB Donovan McNabb ."
