DWDW - College Style

Dirty Wudders Degenerate Wagering is a feature of this blog where the three contributors embarrass themselves picking the college and pro games of the week. Here are our picks for Saturday's games.

Namesake’s Picks

No.20 Michigan (4-0) @ Michigan State (1-3) Line: MSU -3.5 O/U: 54

Michigan comes into this game as an underdog against a lowly MSU team, and maybe I’m missing something, but I don’t get it. I know it’s a road game, but if Central Michigan can handle the Spartans at home, then I think UM can do it too.

Trend that says I’m an idiot: Michigan is 1-7 against the spread in their last 8 conference games. F’it.

Pick: Michigan getting the points

No.7 USC (3-1) @ No.19 California (3-1) Line: Cal +4.5 O/U 46.5

Two weeks ago I may have taken Cal in this game, but after their embarrassing loss to Oregon last week I’m going the other way. USC wins this one. Trends are for losers: USC is 4-12 against the spread in their last 16 games in October. Cal is 10-1 against the spread in their last 11 home games.

Pick: USC giving the points

Doc's Pick:

No. 8 Oklahoma (2-1) at No. 21 Miami (2-1) Line: U (+7.5) O/U: 51.5

Look for Oklahoma to post a huge road win over an overrated U team, and get themselves back into the NAtional Championship conversation. Sam Bradford will not start but Landry Jones has thrown for 9 TD's against 2 powder puff teams.

Pick: Oklahoma covers

Washington (2-2) at Notre Dame (3-1) Line: ND (-11.5) O/U: 54.5

Washington lost 34-14 to Stanford, after their huge upset win over USC. Notre Dame needs a statement win heading into their matchup with USC. I see an ND blowout.

Pick ND covers

Sec 202:

Mississippi State to cover against Georgia Tech
Oregon over Wash. State.

Upset Bonus Pick:
Cal beats USC
