The Morning After

Start Trek comes out on DVD this week.  Not only did the movie fucking rock, but this babe, Zoe Saldana, is in it.  See it.

Here’s what you missed last night while standing in line for New Moon…

No.5 Villanova 69 George Mason 68: What the hell, Nova!? That was too close for comfort, fellas. Isaiah Armwood hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with 17 seconds left to rally Villanova over George Mason Thursday night in Puerto Rico. And oh by the way, Armwood’s three was the first basket of his college basketball career – perfect timing.  The Wildcats were down by as many as 13 points in the first half and were down 68-66 with time running out.  Armwood, coming of the bench after Antonio Pena and Taylor King both fouled out, made his only shot of the night from the top of the arc.  Wow.  Scottie Reynolds dropped 18 on the Patriots, Corey Fisher went 14 for 18 from the foul line and finished with 17 points, Pena had 10 points and 12 rebounds and King had eight points.

No.6 UNC 77 No.15 Ohio St 75: Deon Thompson had 15 points and 12 rebounds and No. 6 North Carolina managed to hold on for a 77-73 victory over No. 15 Ohio State in the 2K Sports Classic semifinals on Thursday night. The Tar Heels led by 19 point with 10:23 to play, but OSU went on a run and eventually cut the lead to 75-73 with 11 seconds remaining.  UNC’s Larry Drew II, who missed four foul shots in the final minute, then made two from the line with seconds left to secure the four-point victory.

Miami 24 Carolina 17:  32-year-old Ricky Williams rushed for 119 yards and scored three touchdowns, and the Dolphins beat the Carolina Panthers 24-17 on Thursday night for their fourth win in six games. Whatever.
