The Morning After

Redskins 24 Eagles 27: It wasn’t pretty, but in the end the Eagles were victorious.  More to come on this game later.

Sixers 89 Spurs 97: The Sixers lost to the Spurs last night to increase their current losing streak to five - they have three games remaining on their current road trip.
Andre Iguodala had 21 points for the Sixers and Willie Green added 17. Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 22.  Honestly, I hope this losing trend continues.  This team needs a lottery pick.

Nets 87 Lakers 106: 0-17…That.Is.Awesome.  With a blowout loss to the Lakers last night, the Nets accomplished what only two others in history have done, lose 17 straight games to start a season.  Congratulations, losers, welcome to infamy.  New Jersey takes on Dallas Wednesday night in hopes of becoming the biggest loser of all-time – Go Mavs!  I love a good losing streak.

Steelers 17 Ravens 20: Third string QB Dennis Dixon played a decent game for the Steelers, but a costly INT in OT set up a Ravens field goal and gave them the win.  Dixon was 12 for 26 for 145 yards, with a passing and rushing TD.  Delaware’s own Joe Flacco completed 23 of 35 passes for 289 yards and a TD.  Both teams are now 6-5 on the season.

  1. Jersey does not stand a chance against Dallas. They are starting to get their players back but even then they will have trouble scoring.

Brook Lopez is pretty damn good. 26 points out of the 5 is pretty rare.

  2. Hear about Hines Ward questioning Ben Roethlisberger's toughness?

Ben just happens to be on the cover of Men's Fitness this month - with the headline. The Toughest QB in the NFL

Seems like Hines took offense to that since he is widely regarded as the dirtiest player in the NFL
