B-Dawk Thanks the Fans

In today’s Daily News, Brian Dawkins wrote a thank you letter to fans on the back page of the Eagles Playbook.  B-Dawk is a class act all the way, one of the best to ever put on an Eagles jersey and he will be missed for a long time. In case you missed the letter, here it is:

Dear Fans:

When I was leaving the Linc the other night I was rushed.  I was able to quickly say hello and thank you to many friends and their families, former teammates, and many others who have been a part of my life for many, many years.  I regret that I was unable to thank YOU from the bottom of my heart for all the love that you have shown me throughout the years.

I want you to know that the feeling is 100% mutual.  You welcomed me into your home, you welcomed me into you hearts.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, once again, for all the love that you have shown me and my family.

And, believe me, you will always have a special place in my heart until I leave God’s green Earth.

So thank you.
