PSU takes on Temple

PSU heads into North Philly as the 5-2 Nits take on the 5-2 Temple Owls. Taylor Battle leads the Lions in scoring (20.1), assists (3.6) and rebounds (6). Penn State has not been very impressive so far this season although they did knock off Virginia on the road. The got hammered by UNC Wilmington (ugh) and lost to Tulane (ouch).

Ryan Brooks leads the Owls in scoring (13.6) and Lavoy (don't call me Larry) Allen leads the team in boards (9.6)

DW and rare reader and almost never contributor, Moose, will be in attendance after enjoying some of the local North Philly watering holes. Heard its a beautiful area. Expecting Temple to roll in this one.

  1. North Broad is beautiful country this time of year. Bullet-proof vests to the first 1,000 fans. He should hit up Popeye's Chicken'n Ribs at Broad and Diamond.

  2. Terrible game. Temple completely shut down Battle and still only barely won.

Penn State does not have many options on offense - it Battle doesn't score 20+ they will not win many games.

Temple played great D but it seems like they have trouble scoring the ball too. Brooks played a great game offensively and defensively. Lavoy, don't call me Larry, should have dominated against the smaller Nits but was not much of a factor.
