The Morning After
Phils 4 Marlins 0: Old Man Moyer (9-6) continued his domination of the Marlins last night, allowing one hit in seven innings and limiting The Fish to just two baserunners. Moyer is 8-0 pitching in Miami and 13-2 overall against Florida. Raul Ibanez isn't wasting any time getting back into his pre-All-Star break form. He homered twice last night, a 2-run shot in the 1st inning and a solo shot in the 4th. Ryan Howard also homered, his 23rd on the year and 200th of his career. Howard reached No.200 in 658 games, the fastest any player has ever reached that milestone. The Phils have won 6 in a row and 10 of 11. I'm pumped.
Astros 3 Dodgers 0: Manny was 1 for 4 with two K's in his first game back in L.A. since being suspended for PED's. The losers in "Mannywood" gave him a standing ovation and chanted his name throughout the game. These are probably the same people out front of Michael Jackson's house crying and pretending he wasn't a pedophile. I hate L.A. Wandy Rodriguez got the win for Houston, going 6 innings and striking out 6.
British Open: Doc's boy, Kenichi Kuboya (who?) is currently leading the pack at Turnberry at 6-under. He fired off a 65 yesterday and is 1-under through 6 in the 2nd round. Tom Watson, yesterday's co-leader, tees off at 8:09am. Tiger is currently sitting at +1, good for 48th place after the 1st round. Other notable scores: Vijay Singh -3, Retief Goosen -3, Jim Furyk E, John Daly E, Paddy Harrington +3, Lucas Glover +9. My prediction: Tiger intimidates the shit out of everyone and is within three strokes of the lead by the end of the day. My 2nd prediction: My first prediction will jinx any chance of Tiger making a run at the leaders.

Moyer is incredible! We have absolutely no need to trade for a pitcher anymore because he can move into the 2nd spot in the rotation. Forget Halladay, Oswalt, etc!
ReplyDelete(I hope you sense the sarcasm, but I'll guarantee that there are callers on 610 & 950 saying these exact words).
Ibanez is incredible!
British Open is dull so far. Let's go John Daly! He'll make it interesting.
Tiger finished today with a 74 including 2 doubles on the back 9. He finished +5 and will miss the cut. Supposedly he shanked his drive on 10 and lost his ball. It probably got him all fucked in the head.
ReplyDeleteOld man Watson will keep my interest though the weekend though. And what the fuck is John Daly wearing?!
Yo Nard Dog watch the language. What did you grow up in a trailor?
