Phils get Cliff Lee

The Phillies have reached agreement with the Indians on a trade that would bring them left-hander Cliff Lee and outfielder Ben Francisco for Class A right-hander Jason Knapp, Class AAA right-hander Carlos Carrasco, shortstop Jason Donald and catcher Lou Marson, according to major-league sources. The deal is pending a review of medical records. (Foxsports)

  1. I like it. Jason Knapp is the only big time prospect they are losing and I feel like he is replacable by overpaying in the draft. Thats how they got him in the first place.

I still think they should consider Sherrill from Baltimore since Lee isn't quite the horse Halladay is.

    Hamels-Lee-Blanton is a strong 1-2-3

  2. I like it too. I love the fact that the Phils held on to Drabek, Taylor and Brown. Lots of lefties in the rotation.

I wouldn't be surprised if Happ still gets moved for relief help, possibly Sherrill.

  3. Donald and Marson combined to go 2-6 in their first game, which happened to be a win over the Iron Pigs.

Marson hit 8th and Donald hit 9th for the Columbus Clippers..

Tonight Pedro throws against Carlos Carrasco.
