Eli is Highest Paid Player!?!

Eli Manning has agreed to a new six-year, $97 million contract extension with the New York Giants that will make him the highest-paid player in the NFL with an average salary of roughly $15.3 million. (CBSsports) His brother Peyton, who is 10 times the quarterback Eli is, makes $14.7. All-Pro cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha of the Oakland Raiders is the second highest played player at $15.1.

He is one quarterback who does not strike fear into me at all. Not once did I think Eli was going to lead the Giants over the birds in last years playoff game at the Meadowlands. Any success he has ever had against the Eagles came from Plaxico Burress catching jump balls over shorter db's.

How did this guy win a Super Bowl? He had 27 turnover's in '07. I guess, Favre panicking in OT, Tyree's velcro, and Steve Spags shutting down the Pats had something to do with it.

Yeah I'm bitter.

  1. I can't wait to see him play this year without his security blanket - Plax. Who is he going to heave the ball to while ducking and cowering in the face of a rush?

  2. I am glad that Eli got that long term deal. He sucks so bad that New York will eventually boo him out of town. I dont know what it is about his face but I just want to punch him right in his suck hole everytime I see him.
