Jackson injures knee/ Ingram gets MRI on knee

According to Reuben Frank, DeSean Jackson, has just left practice at Lehigh with what appears to be a right knee, leg or possibly hamstring injury. (phillyBurbs)

Jackson has been having an outstanding camp. At about 10 a.m., during one of the last drills of the morning training camp practice, Jackson got hurt and walked immediately over to the medical tent with trainer Rick Burkholder, who quickly yelled over to the far sideline for team orthopedic specialist Peter DeLuca.

DeLuca then examined Jackson's right knee or leg, having him flex it a few times, before sending him inside to A. Haigh Cundey Fieldhouse on a cart.

Can training camp end soon enough?. GCobb is reporting that Jackson hyperextended his knee - which could be nothing or could be bad. Here's hoping it is nothing.

Updated: Via PFT Eagles wideout DeSean Jackson left practice with a hyperextended knee, and tight end Cornelius Ingram underwent an MRI on his knee.

At first blush, it looks like a day-to-day injury.

Ingram's injury could be more serious. The Eagles' official website reports that the team worked out a group of unknown players that appeared to be tight ends based on their routes.

Ingram tore his ACL last August, which caused his draft stock to fall. It appears he may have suffered a setback, but results of the MRI aren't available.

  1. I heard it was a hyperextended knee. He was laughing walking to his car and said it was no big deal. I hope he's right.

  2. I just updated the post - yeah, Jackson says he's ok - hope he is right.

    Ingram's injury doesn't sound good.

  3. I heard reports that Ingram tore ACL again... It's a shame he seemed to be turning some heads, at least early on.... Having him stretch the field as another viable option would have opened up the middle more for Avant., Celek, Maclin etc...According to interviews of people observing camp Mcnabb seemed to have good chemistry with the 'rook.... Hopefully Maclin can pick up the offense after missing time...Jackson should be okay....
