Moyer to the 'pen, Pedro to the rotation, Kolb/Cole day to day

According to MLB.com. Pedro Martinez will start on Wednesday bumping Jamie Moyer to the bullpen. Based on our reports on how Pedro has pitched in his rehab starts, we felt it was time to move him into our rotation," Manuel said. "Jamie was a total professional and team player when we let him know of the decision to move him to the bullpen. He has been and will continue to be a very important part of this team." Let's see what you got,

Eagles backup QB Kevin Kolb sprained his MCL in his left knee. He is day to day. Trent Cole left practice with a left shoulder sprain. Neither will play on Thursday game with New England and are considered day to day. Not good timing for Kolb, as the Birds need him to get as much live game work in as possible, in case #5 goes down.

In other Philly news, the Phillies activated Chad Durbin from the DL. He is 1-2 with a 4.62 ERA in 42 appearances for the Phillies this year. To make room for Durbin on the 25-man roster, right-hander Rodrigo Lopez was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley

  1. Moyer certainly didnt do himself any favors with that performance yesterday. This was the only move for the phils at this point. If Pedro sucks then maybe you give Moyer another shot, but until then the bullpen is where he belongs.

The Eagles should just wrap up training camp right now. Christ, it seems like they're cursed this year.
