Phils
Pedro's home debut was ruined due to the rain last night. He gave up a leadoff home run to start the game, but looked good after that striking out three in three innings of work. Moyer came in and shut it down for six innings after the rain stopped. He gave up just two hits over those six innings of work, and came away with the win. Where did this come from? Moyer looked great on the hill last night. If the Phils can get that kind of effort out of Moyer then lets start praying for more rain delays.
The Phils have now won 6 out of their last 7, and they have cracked the .500 mark at home. The Phils have 22 home games left this season and 13 of them are against NL East opponents. Lets hope that the Phils can get hot at home and run away with the lead. All signs point that way, Howard is starting to heat up again. Going into last night he had 4 home runs in 4 games with 9 RBI's. Last night he hit 2 bombs that looked way out, but the wind held them up. September is right around the corner and we all know "Mr. September" gets it going that time of year. Right now he is 3rd in the league in RBI's, looking forward I see him as the league leader in RBI's and homeruns by the end of the year. When Howard hits the Phils win. Lately he is the only one getting it done with RISP.

That felt like a f'you outing from Moyer. Very good thing if he can contribute out of the (long relief) pen.
