Big Surprise

In what can only be hailed as the most predictable story of the year, Brett Favre will be playing in the NFL again this season. Yawn. According to sources, Brett Favre is in Minnesota right now about to become a member of the Minnesota Vikings - that slurping sound you hear is coming from Bristol, CT.  Prepare yourselves for a bombardment of ‘gunslinger’ pieces on ESPN for the next month, continuing throughout the season until his inevitable shoulder injury in Week 8.  I hate Brett Favre.  Michael Vick and the Eagles organization are probably dancing a jig right now.

Seriously though, if he can just be a mediocre QB this year for the Vikes they could be a dangerous team.  They have, arguably, the best running game in the NFL, and they were pretty damn good last season considering the garbage they had under center.  Their defense is one of the best around, especially against the run, and I just heard Jaws on ESPN saying they are the favorites in the NFC right now.  I don’t know about that, but they are definitely a contender at this point. I don’t really think much of Favre as a QB anymore (or human being for that matter), but he is a huge upgrade over T-Jack and Sage and should improve their offense immediately.

Here is Sec202's thoughts:
How many more times is this guy going to retire? Can you just please go away? I mean you are not good anymore, we saw that last year with the Jets. Just go back to your farm and ride off into the sunset. It is so annoying that you cannot make up your mind. This is just killing your image each year you retire and then decide to come back at the last minute. That press conference that you held when you retired from the Packers for the first time was so pathetic now that you are back for a second time since then. Not only are fans getting sick of this, but I am sure that all of the quarterbacks in the NFL that are getting screwed over do not appreciate it either. You want to go into training camp with the opportunity to compete for the starting job, and just when you think that you won it, this douche decides to change his mind and come back halfway through preseason. I hope the Vikings sign him and he is the back up all year. It would be great to see him on the sidelines with a clipboard in his hands giving Jackson or Rosenfels signs. Just go away and do not come back please.

  1. I feel like the only way that he can regain his reputation is by winning a Super Bowl. I just don't see that happening with the Vikings.

  2. Whatever. He is not worried about his reputation. He is still going to go down as one of the best ever, whether he succeeds in Minny or not. I don't think he is a big factor anymore and im not sure Minny is better off with him...

He's not worried about winning, hes worried about not being important anymore. He's worried about being forgotten.
