The Morning After

As you were sobering up after a disappointing game 2 loss, and watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, here is what you missed in the sports world...

Dodgers 3 Cards 2: L.A. takes a 2-0 lead over St Louis. St Louis has a 2-1 lead with 2 out and no one on in the bottom of the 9th but Matt Holiday dropped a sinking line drive and then Ronnie Belliard and Mark Loretta hit RBI singles to give the dodgers the unlikely win. Former Phillie scrub, Ryan Franklin got the loss and BS allowing 2 unearned runs.

Angels 5 Sox 0: John Lackey shut down the Red Sox, pitching into the 8th inning and Torii Hunter hit a 3-run bomb.

Penguins 5 Flyers 4: Evgeni Malkin has a goal and an assist, leading the defending champs over the previosuly unbeaten Flyers. Danny Briere had the first 2 goals for the Flyers and Jeff Carter had the next 2.

76ers: Apparently the Sixers are 2-0 in the preseason - I had no idea. Somebody told me that we picked up Stromile Swift! Its going to be a good year!

Wait. I just read this quote from Sammy Dalembert:

“I was just making a joke about it yesterday—the ball comes to me more times in a whole practice than in the eight years I've been here.”

Ugh! It's going to be a long year.
