DWDW - NFL Week 2

Doc's Picks:

Game 1: NY Giants @ Dallas Cowboys Line: Dallas (-3) O/U: 45

The Giants are 21-6 in their last 27 road games against the spread. Dallas is 2-8 in their last 10 ATS vs NFC East opponents. Dallas will be pumped in their new stadiums but the Giants are the better team, getting points - take 'em.

Pick: Gints taking the points just in case but expect a straight up W.

Game 2: New Orleans @ Philadelphia Eagles Line: NO (-1) O/U: 45.5

I think New Orleans is a bit overrated but this shows my confidence in Kevin Kolb. There is a reason why college system QB's rarely make good pro qb's.

Pick: Saints

Namesake's Picks:

Game 1: New England (1-0) @ Jets (1-0) Line: Jets +3.5 O/U: 45.5

The Mark Sanchez era kicked off last week with a 24-7 win over everyone’s favorite playoff sleeper pick for the last three years, the Houston Texans. The Texans looked like, well, the Texans, and everyone immediately anointed Sanchez the second coming of Joe Namath. Although he did play well, I’m not completely sold on the kid, and I have a feeling the Patriots will give him a few more headaches than he experienced last week. I realize the Pats defense looked suspect against Buffalo in Week 1, but I think Bill Belichick will have something up his sleeve for the rookie QB. Tom Brady looked back to form last week, and I find it hard to bet against him no matter what the circumstances. I Love Trends: The road team is 21-7-1 ATS in the Jets-Pats last 29 meetings. New England is 9-3-01 ATS in their last 13 meetings with the Jets.

Pick: Patriots giving the points

Game 2: Cincinnatti (0-1) @ Green Bay (1-0) Line: GB -9 O/U: 42

Pick: GB giving the points.
