The Morning After

Flyers 6 Islanders 2: Mike Richards , Jeff Carter and Claude Giroux scored two goals apiece, and the Flyers beat the  Islanders 6-2 on Tuesday night to snap a five-game losing streak and give new coach Peter Laviolette his first win with Philadelphia.  Stanley Cup here we come!

Celtics 98 Bucks 89: Rajon Rondo barely missed a triple double, finishing Tuesday night’s game with 11 points, 13 assists and 9 rebounds on the way to leading the Celtics over the Bucks for their 8th straight victory.  Kevin Garnett added 25 points and 9 rebounds.  In a related story, the Sixers have lost 10 in a row – You Gotta Believe!

Grizzlies 111 Cavs 109: Mike Conley hit a scoop shot off the glass with three seconds left in OT to give Memphis the win last night against Cleveland.  LeBron had 43 points and 13 rebounds for the Cavs – both season highs – but it wasn’t enough to keep their 4-game winning streak alive.  Zach Randolph led Memphis with 32 points and 14 boards.

Ochocinco: Chad Ochocinco was fined $30,000 for wearing a sombrero and poncho after scoring a TD against the Lions last week.  Pretty weak celebration if you ask me – definitely not worth losing 30 grand over. Loser.
